Nosey Barkers Scentwork Training Programme
There are currently two Scentwork activities available with TTP under the Nosey Barkers Scentwork Programme, Detection Dog Training and Scent Walks
Detection Dog Training
The Foundation Award is a fantastic way to introduce you and your dog to scentwork, you can then continue your journey with the Nosey Barkers programme, including real world searches, trials and special events like Murder Mystery, Summer Holiday, Guess Who? and much more!

All dogs can do Scentwork
During this course your dog will learn:
How to take scent
Recognition of correct odour
How to work to source
As handlers you will learn:
How to handle a dog during a search
How to read changes in the dog’s body language
Reading and understanding your dog’s indication
More about what scent can do for your dog
How searching for a scent works for your dog
At the end of the course you will be able to complete an assessment for the Foundation Award which includes an Odour Recognition Test, Room Search and Vehicle Search.

Scent Walks
Scent Walks is a newly developed scentwork activity it is perfectly designed to bridge the gap between a simple sniffing game and intense detection work. It can be the perfect relaxer for a high drive working dog, a fun outdoor activity for slower paced dogs, a calm and steady alternative for reactive dogs or great stimulation for puppies and older dogs.
Scent Walks can be adapted to suit you and your dog, it is non-competitive and 100% pressure free. This is a truly refreshing activity and your dogs new favourite hobby!
You can join the Scent Walks community by attending a level 1 workshop, once complete you can join monthly Club Days to continue your scentwork journey and progress through the levels as and when your dog is ready. The workshop and Club Days can also be provided through 1to1 if preferred.
